Re:what to bring on the ride??? - 2006/06/19 16:57
Here's my standard checklist of bike & gear related items:
- tools sufficient for all roadside repairs, this includes things such as zip ties, duct tape, jb weld, extra brake & clutch levers, etc.
- clear and tint shields
- camelback for hydration while riding, saves tons of time
- Bike specific replacement parts for common failures. On my bike, the rectifier regulator can go out, i carry a spare
- tire repair kit, i prefer the Pocket Stop n Go Tire Plugger kit, small compressor, and tire guage
- Plexus shield cleaner & rag
- heated vest
- head shell, shampa, balaclava, ear plugs, breath guard
- Vehicle registration card, proof of insurance, cash, roadside assistance contact info. Also, put an "ICE" entry in your cell phone (In Case of Emergency). EMT's will look for this in your cell.
- First aid kit; basics like meds, bandages, I also like to carry wound wash canister
- small amount of food, powerbars etc. in case of emergency mostly
